Chapter Endorses UNLV's New HVAC & Energy Audit Microcredential

The ASHRAE Southern Nevada Chapter is proud to endorse UNLV's HVAC and Energy Audit Microcredential, launched in Fall 2026 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The 9-credit program gives students hands-on skills in HVAC system design, energy conservation, building energy modeling and energy auditing through three courses: ME 418 Air Conditioning Engineering Systems, ME 419 Advanced HVAC and Energy Conservation Systems, and ME 413 Energy Assessment.

Local companies: lend your name! UNLV is seeking endorsements from HVAC contractors, engineering firms and other industry partners. It only takes a short email from a company leader confirming you recognize the microcredential as a credible, valuable credential for students entering the industry, and that UNLV may list your company as an endorser on the badge description and microcredential website. Email Dr. Heejin Cho, Faculty Advisor of the ASHRAE UNLV Student Branch, at [email protected].
