2027 ASHRAE Southern Nevada Student Grant
The ASHRAE Southern Nevada Board of Governors has approved the award of four (4) Collegiate Student Grants for the 2026-2027 Chapter Year. Grant amount: [TBD].

Who can apply
- Full- or part-time students who are interested in, or currently working toward, a career in the HVAC industry.
- Undergraduate or postgraduate students at UNLV majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
- Current high school seniors who will be attending UNLV and studying mechanical engineering or architecture.
- Family members of ASHRAE Southern Nevada Chapter members who meet the above criteria but are studying outside of Southern Nevada may also apply.
What you need to submit
A written application containing:
- ☐ Full name, address, email address, and phone number
- ☐ Educational background / college major
- ☐ Current GPA
- ☐ Projected number of credits at the end of the 2026-2027 school year
- ☐ Relevant work or academic experience in the HVAC industry
- ☐ A brief essay (max 1 page) describing your career goals in the HVAC industry and your planned academic path to get there

- Confirm you meet the eligibility criteria above.
- Prepare your written application with all six items in the checklist.

After you apply
The four recipients voted most worthy by the ASHRAE SN Board of Governors will be recognized at the April Chapter Meeting on April 20, 2027 [TBD – confirm with chapter]. Recipients will be notified by April 15, 2027.
